It's time to find the common threads of our inspiration and work - and the not yet common threads!

Homework Day TWO

  1. Print out two copies of the worksheet posted in the announcements of this page - (or on the all-access page)
  2. Look through your inspiration board and check off the commonalities of the work that you pinned - you may need to make notes in the columns if it is outside of the options on the worksheet.
  3. Look through your work and check off the commonalities of your images compared to the options on the worksheet.
  4. Make a list of things that are in common between your inspiration and your work.
  5. Make a list of things that are on your inspiration board, but not reflected in your work.
  6. Share your findings with the hashtag #unleashhomework and come back tomorrow for your next steps.

  1. Take your worksheets from yesterday and determine what is missing from your work that is present in your inspiration work.
  2. Go out and CREATE!  Get messy.  Use a stuffed animal or coffee cup if you don't have a model.  No excuses.  Go play.
  3. Give yourself permission to create work that isn't your best.  This is an experiment.
    Share what you create with the hashtag #unleashhomework and come back tomorrow for your next steps.

  2. Curate your images - meaning get pretty brutal at selecting only the best of the best to show and only images that are cohesive to the brand and style you want to portray.
