This Accelerator is for pet photographers who want to turn inquiries into ideal bookings. Whether you’re an established business with somewhat regular inquiries, or you’ve just launched your website, it’s important to have your inquiry process set up for success.
By the end of this Accelerator you will be confident in your inquiry process and excited to go through it with every single inquiry! Your simple and stress-free communication, enthusiasm and joy will lead to booking your dream clients!
Be prepared to work on each part of your process throughout the six weeks. There will be weekly opportunities (on calls and in the private Facebook group) to receive valuable feedback on your process from participants as well as your coach, Marika.
WEEK
01
Inquiry Kickoff and Experience Round 1 - One of the first steps to creating a winning process is to gain a better understanding of what your potential clients need to experience in order to feel motivated to take the next steps to booking a session. In our first week together, we will learn about the four parts of the inquiry process, and you will be assigned a partner. You and your partner will take turns experiencing one another’s current inquiry processes. The best way to learn how to improve our customer experience is to first experience it ourselves!

Focus on the Entry - Where and how does an inquiry, inquire? In the second week, we will be focused on the places where inquiries enter your process: website/social media/etc. On our call, we will discuss what you learned after going through your partner’s process, as well as review anything you need help with at this stage of the Inquiry Process.

03
Focus on the Communication - How will you interact with your inquiries? In the third week, we will focus on how you share information with your inquiries: Email/phone/inquiry guides/landing page with video/etc. On our call, we will discuss what you learned after going through your partner’s process, as well as review anything you need help with at this stage of the Inquiry Process.

04
Focus on the Consultation - How will you WOW them? In the fourth week, we will be focused on your first official meeting with your potential client. This is where you learn their story and share more about what they can expect when working with you. This is where you shine so bright, they can’t resist booking. On our call, we will discuss what you learned after going through your partner’s process, as well as review anything you need help with at this stage of the inquiry process.

Focus on the Follow Up - When will you ask for the sale? This might happen right there during your consultation, or your inquiry might need some time to think. Either way, what you do after you’ve provided your inquiry with the information they need is just as important as every other step of the process. In the fifth week, we will focus on following up with inquiries. Whether they book or not, it’s important to close out your process with them. On our call, we will discuss what you learned after going through your partner’s process, as well as review anything you need help with at this stage of the inquiry process. Following this call, you will run through your improved process with your partner in preparation for our final call (week 6).

Experience Round 2 - Wrapping-up your inquiry process with a neat little bow! In the week leading up to our final call, you will run through your inquiry process with your partner again. On our call, we will discuss what you learned after going through your partner’s process, as well as review anything you need help with at this stage of the inquiry process.

In other words, it wants to limit your visibility to keep you “safe.” We cannot effectively promote ourselves without understanding these issues and facing them head-on.

Gain Confidence with Off-Camera Flash
Led by KIM HARTZ of KIM HARTZ PHOTOGRAPHY
In this Accelerator, students will learn how to create stunning on-location portraits using off-camera flash. You'll learn a variety of lighting techniques as we discuss modifiers, camera settings, and everything you need to get your on-location work looking more professional.

01
Overview of Off-Camera Flash - We'll start by covering the benefits of working with OCF, and reviewing the light modifiers and equipment you'll need. You'll also start to learn about balancing flash and ambient light using shutter speed, ISO and aperture.
WEEK
02
Balancing the Light - This week we'll go deeper into balancing your flash with the ambient light. You'll also get an assignment to work on over the next week, where you'll create a well-lit outdoor portrait using what you've learned so far.
WEEK
03
Indoor Portraits - After an image critique of last week's assignment, we'll move into a trickier situation: how to use OCF inside a client’s home. We'll build on the concepts you learned in the first two calls, so you'll be ready to create an indoor portrait using OCF for your second and final assignment.
WEEK
04
Image Critique and Q&A - We'll kick off our last call with feedback on your indoor portrait homework. Then we'll discuss the various challenges you might encounter using OCF both indoors and out. Come prepared with any lingering OCF questions, so you can finish the Accelerator feeling confident and equipped to create beautifully lit images on location!
Who is this course for?
Anyone interested in learning to incorporate off-camera lighting in their work is welcome, though to complete the assignments you’ll need to either own or rent basic lighting equipment (something as simple as a Speedlight will work). Students should have a basic understanding of their camera and working with manual settings.
The LIVE calls for this class will be on Wednesdays at 10am EST starting September 8th.
